Welcome to our wiki, Lockport teachers and administrators!

You may access the following information from this space:

• Resources that will support the Race to the Top initiative
• An overview of the formative assessment initiative as well as the resources and handouts shared during our sessions
• Resources requested by teachers that may be used to enrich your practices as well
• Activities, lessons, and resources used by teachers in your district who are also willing to share
• Resources to support your growing understanding of collegial learning and tools to enable the success of it.

• You can gain access to other resources and support via my blog (posts are organized by category on the sidebar there as well). Please feel free to share your thoughts by leaving comments. Most of the posts that I write are in response to those who have requested them. You can suggest topics for blog posts by leaving a comment in that space or by emailing me . Posting helps me create a permanent reply, embedded with resources, ideas, and strategies that others can benefit from too.

• Feel free to connect to me and to larger network on Twitter. I share resources there as well.
  
  
• Teachers who are interested in studying writing instruction can also join the WNY Young Writers' Studio. This is a local community of writers and teachers of writing that I founded four years ago. We meet for a week in the summer and bi-monthly on Saturdays throughout the school year. Those who participate appreciate the opportunity to connect to teachers throughout the area, see suggested practices "in action" and share new learning with others who can benefit from it.
